It is said that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. That is exactly what happened to me. My friend invited me to go along with her to the home of Iris Saltzman for an evening of astrology readings.  Having been a sensitive from childhood, I was up for it. The room was filled with other seekers.  Most, including me, just wanted a reading.  Now, many years later, I can safely say that this gifted astrologer and entertainer was my first teacher.  I wonder how many others she has inspired during her weekly evenings.  Since Dr .Brian Weiss mentions Iris in his book Many Lives, Many Masters , I know that I am not the only one!

If you just want a reading, welcome.  If you really want to learn how to do readings, prepare to be obsessed.  If you are interested but  not obsessed, then astrology may not be your life path but it is a pleasant side trip. I will give you some basic learning tools and direct you to others. 

Deepok Chopra tells us that the thing we loose track of time doing is what we were meant to do.  Even if astrology is not your passion, astrology can point you toward your Life Path.
